Blood Orange is even more of a rich scent then orange itself. The deep orange oil therapeutically is very similar to sweet orange, considered the most antidepressant of the citrus family. . Blood Orange essential oil has a warm, fresh citrus scent, radiant, fruity and tangy. More intensely aromatic than the sweet orange we are familiar with, Blood Orange adds a sparkling citrus note to blends.
Blends Well With: Lavender, lemon, clary sage, myrrh and spicy oils such as nutmeg, cinnamon and clove.
General Activities: Antidepressant, carminative, choleretic, digestive, fungicidal, hypotensive, sedative (nervous), stimulant (digestive and lymphatic), stomachic, tonic.
Safety: Generally non-toxic, non-irritant, and non-sensitizing. Avoid use in prolonged sunlight exposure.
